Carson-Crickmore Handmade Classical Guitar 'Cedar / Indian Rosewood' Preowned 1997
Built in 1997 by renowned Australian luthier Phil Carson Crickmore, this exceptional classical guitar showcases the artistry and precision that have made his work celebrated worldwide. Constructed during a period when Carson Crickmore set out to build the finest instrument he was capable of, this one-off custom guitar reflects his mastery of tone, balance, and craftsmanship. The combination of aged tonewoods and traditional construction delivers a warm, resonant, and articulate sound with remarkable sustain and clarity.
Featuring premium tonewoods including a 1960s harvested cedar top and 1970s East Indian rosewood back and sides, this instrument has matured beautifully over time. The French-polished finish enhances the natural resonance of the wood, while elegant details such as maple purfling, mother-of-pearl inlays, and Rodgers precision tuners — among the finest in the world — complete this stunning instrument. Housed in a custom Presto fiberglass case, it remains in excellent condition with only minor playwear and a comfortable medium action (with plenty of saddle left should you want a lower action).
This is hands down one of the best classical guitars we've ever had through the store, with incredible richness and depth of tone, wonderful clarity and a sweet, piano-like voice that is all-enveloping. An absolutely stunning handmade classical by one of Australia's foremost luthiers. Includes orginal Presto fibreglass case.
